This slice is simply decadent and delicious, it is simple and easy to make. If you are a caramel addict you absolutely must give this one a go, and guaranteed you won’t regret it.
Ingredients
Base
1/2 cup medjool dates
1 1/2 cup almonds
1 tsp vanilla essence
Caramel
1/2 cup tahini
1/2 cup maple syrup or rice malt syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
large pinch Himalayan salt
Chocolate topping
5 tbsp raw cacao
4 tbsp coconut sugar or rice malt syrup
1/2 cup coconut oil
Method
Blend the dates and almonds and vanilla into a food processor and blend until sticky
place in a lined 9 inch square tin and place into the freezer
Blend caramel ingredients together and pour over biscuit base, place back in freezer to set (about 20 mins)
Melt coconut oil, add remaining ingredients for the topping and blend together.
Pour over the top of the set caramel and place back into the freezer to set again.
Cut into squares and store in the fridge
Try to hold back and not eat it all at once. My secret tip is to keep some hidden in the freezer so when everyone eats it all there is a secret stash to go to.
